TIIEC and BHP Mark a New Milestone in Their Collaboration

Global Framework Agreement Celebration and Commemorative Plaque Unveiling Held at TIIEC 

On 24 July 2026, Hebei TIIEC Machinery Co., Ltd. (“TIIEC”) and BHP, the world’s well-known mining company, held a celebration of their Global Framework Agreement and an unveiling ceremony for a Strategic Partnership commemorative plaque at TIIEC’s headquarters. The event marked a new stage in the collaboration between the two companies. 

Mark Pickett, Vice President of BHP’s New Markets Delivery Office, led his team on a visit to TIIEC.TIIEC Chairman Xi Qinglin, Chief Executive Officer Zhang Yueling, General Manager Huang Wei and other members of TIIEC’s management team participated in the business meeting, factory tour and celebration. 

In-Depth Discussions on Future Collaboration 

Before the ceremony, the two parties held a dedicated meeting. TIIEC welcomed the BHP delegation and presented an overview of the company’s development, core business, technology and product development, quality management, and global service network. 

The discussions covered implementation of the Global Framework Agreement, product and technology innovation, quality and delivery assurance, local support in overseas markets, and potential areas for future collaboration. Participants reviewed the progress achieved to date and exchanged views on strengthening communication, improving the efficiency of collaboration, and supporting the requirements of BHP’s global projects. 

The two parties recognised that the Global Framework Agreement provides an important foundation for a more stable, efficient and sustainable working relationship. Looking ahead, they will seek opportunities to draw on their respective strengths in technology, manufacturing, supply chain capabilities and global operations, and to explore potential collaboration across additional regions, projects and product areas. .

Factory Tour Highlights Manufacturing and Quality Capabilities 

Following the meeting, the BHP delegation toured TIIEC’s machining workshop, laboratory and assembly workshop, gaining first-hand insight into the machining, quality inspection and assembly processes for slurry pumps and their key components. 

During the tour, the TIIEC team introduced the company’s machining and manufacturing capabilities, quality control system, product testing capabilities and assembly process management. The two parties also discussed slurry pump performance improvement, the application of wear-resistant materials, control of key processes and product lifecycle services. 

The visit and discussions provided the BHP delegation with a broader understanding of TIIEC’s capabilities in research and development, precision machining, quality inspection, pump assembly, global delivery and after-sales support. 

Reflecting on the Journey and Marking an Important Milestone 

During the celebration, attendees watched a video reviewing the development of the relationship between TIIEC and BHP. The video traced the journey from initial engagement, technical discussions and factory visits through to further dialogue and the establishment of the Global Framework Agreement. 

In his remarks, Mark Pickett, Vice President, New Markets Delivery Office, spoke positively about TIIEC’s professional capabilities, manufacturing strength and international service network. He noted that the Global Framework Agreement recognised the progress made by the two companies and provided a foundation for exploring further collaboration across additional regions and projects. 

TIIEC Chairman Xi Qinglin welcomed the BHP delegation and thanked BHP for the trust and recognition it has shown TIIEC. 

He noted that, over nearly 30 years of development, TIIEC has remained focused on slurry pumps and fluid-handling solutions for the mining industry. The company continues to advance technology and product development, quality management, digitalisation and its international footprint. TIIEC has established local service platforms in Australia, South Africa and Peru to provide reliable, efficient and professional products and services to mining customers worldwide. 

Becoming part of BHP’s global supply chain is both an honour and a significant responsibility for TIIEC. TIIEC then presented BHP with a “Strategic Partnership” commemorative plaque. Representatives of both companies witnessed the unveiling, and attendees marked the occasion with applause.
